How to motivate yourself, phantasy journeys, external motivation

If you think that learning is useless, you should look at your big aim in an optimistic way. It doesn't matter how you motivate yourself, the most important thing is to reach your personal aim. It's not very useful to imagine how nice it would be to travel round the world being able to speak for example 6 languages, if you never wanted to travel round the world. Maybe it's better to find out that your favourite writer's new book will only be published in Kiswahili and that's why you have to learn this new language (although this statement sounds really strange).
